Components of Vegetable Samosa:
For the Outer Layer (Pastry):
All-purpose Flour/Maida – 1 cup (250g.)
Ajwain (Carrom Seeds) – 1 pinch (optionally available)
Salt – ½ tsp
Cooking Oil – four tbsp (60 ml.)
Water – ¼ cup/60 ml (approx.)
For the vegetable filling:
Cooking Oil – 1 ½ tbsp.
Blended Greens (chopped carrots, inexperienced beans, peas, candy corn, inexperienced bell pepper/capsicum)- 1 ½ cup
Finely Chopped Onions – ½ cup
Boiled peeled and mashed Potato – ½ cup
Garlic – three giant cloves
Ginger – ½ inch piece
Coriander leaves – ¼ cup
Inexperienced chilli – 1 no.
Spices – ½ tsp. cumin seeds, ½ tsp. turmeric powder, 1 tsp. crimson chilli powder, 1 tsp. coriander powder, 1 tsp. garam masala powder,
Optionally available spices – ½ tsp. crushed fennel seeds (saunf), ½ tsp. dry mango powder (amchur), ½ tsp. chaat masala powder
Salt to style
Cooking Oil for deep-frying
